Week 3 - Class Activity (User Experience & Brand Touchpoint)

Here's my user experience and brand touchpoint, I showed it during a tutorial this week. I also made another set to go with the one I showed. I created one guy and one girl with contrasting situations but within the target audience age group. The girl has freedom and friends while the guy is tired and overworking.

User experience:

    Ahmiracle
  • Who is the user? Ahmiracle is 17 years old. She is studying in high school. She’s interested in music, hanging out with her friends and becoming a social media influencer. She is open to experiencing new things and bonding with others.

  • Their Goals? She wants to find a new hobby to pass the time.

  • Their Motivations? She wants to find a comfort activity, something to do when she wants to relax.

  • External Factors? Ahmiracle loves her friends but sometimes she wants some time to herself and just wants an activity that she can do in her lonesome without feeling the need to check her social media every 5 seconds.

  • Experience with your product? She found the e-book interesting and couldn’t put it down, even using it as an opportunity to find new friends with the same interest in the book.

    Chip
  • Who is the user? Chip is 25 years old. He is a graduate working as an accountant. He’s interested in playing games, reading and watching movies. He is overworked and just wants to relax while enjoying his hobbies.

  • Their Goals? He wants to finish reading a novel but has been falling asleep from fatigue before he can even finish reading a page.

  • Their Motivations? He wants to find an exciting novel that can keep him up without him passing out after a few words.

  • External Factors? Chip loves reading but often finds himself losing interest midway through reading, he also noticed that with his working hours he rarely has time for himself so wants a book that can be read on the go.

  • Experience with your product? He thought that the website was great as it allowed him to read it anywhere, he could also go back to whichever chapter he left off at when he began to feel tired.

Next is the Brand Touchpoint Matrix, I focused on creating just a simple outline of how people may reach my website. Obviously advertisements are the way I would get it out there, then people will become curious about the product searching up its purpose and what it is on the website. Then perhaps they might look at the online reviews about said product. Finally after all that, they would look at the actual product, the story, on the website.

Edit: After some feedback from Steve I have created the new version of the Brand Touchpoint Matrix for my proposal, one that is bigger and easier to read.
